Activities :
* Class are divided into groups of six pupils and have to work in their cooperative
groups.
* Pupils are given by a set of 3 containers and drinking glasses.
* Class are divided into groups of six pupils and have to work in their cooperative
groups.
* Pupils are given by a set of 3 containers and drinking glasses.
* Teacher filled the different containers with different colours of liquids and labelled
it as containers A, B and C.
* Pupils estimate the number of drinking glasses needed to contain all the water in
container A.
* Pupils repeat this step for the containers B and C.
* Pupils fill the glass to check their estimate and compared their estimation
with the exact answers
* Pupils have to record their findings in the statement below :
The water in the container A can fill __________ glasses
The water in the container B can fill __________ glasses
The water in the container C can fill __________ glasses
* Pupils discussed which containers have the smallest and the largerst capacity.
* Instruct the students to arrange the three containers in descending order of
their capacities.
